Partly hidden on purpose. Senders of messages like this routinely
forge the number they appear to come from, so a number here may belong to somebody
with no connection to the message. If a number of yours appears and you want it
removed, contact us.
What to do
- Replying STOP usually stops that sender, but political lists are widely shared and resold, so similar messages often continue from others.
- Blocking each number as it arrives tends to work better than opting out.
- Political messages are largely exempt from the rules governing commercial texting in the US, so there is often no legal opt-out to invoke.
- Be cautious with any link asking for a donation. Check the organisation independently before giving money.
